Southern Lakes Sanctuary x Aj Hackett Biodiversity Credit

Updated: Mar 14

CarbonZ is excited to be launching the South Island’s first biodiversity credits with Southern Lakes Sanctuary and AJ Hackett. This is a positive next step for conservation in the region.

This follows the launch of our Whio biodiversity credit with Eastern Whio Link two months ago, and is an excellent expansion of our work to accelerate conservation impact around the country.

We had a great opportunity to present to a like-minded community of businesses last week at the Queenstown Chamber of Commerce about how biodiversity credits can be part of a nature positive future.

The credits are for Mohua and Kea in the Mt Aspiring region. Southern Lakes Sanctuary has an admirable track record working across several projects in the Southern Lakes region and we are relishing using biodiversity credits to scale up their work.
