Driving real climate action

The Climate Action Certification provides independent verification that an organisation has legitimately measured, balanced and will reduce their carbon footprint.

This certificate enables businesses to make a net zero, carbon neutral or carbon positive claim so they can confidently communicate their climate action to their stakeholders knowing they are aligned to leading global standards.

The Climate Action Certificate is designed to prioritise real impact to tackle climate change.

We make sure funds are going as far as possible towards the things that matter, reducing emissions and removing carbon, with less being spent on software, consulting and administration.

Why certify with us?

Pragmatic and cost efficient

We ensure our processes are efficient and streamlined to enable certification that maximises impact and minimises cost on administration.

Independently verified

The certificate requires a separate entity to compile emissions for the company compared to the entity that does the audit to avoid a conflict of interest.

Absolute transparency

An open-sourced methodology that requires public disclosures on emissions reduction and sustainability spending efficacy, leading to greater public accountability on climate action in the private sector.

Maximum efficacy

The Standard is designed to ensure funds are spent as far as possible on emissions reductions and carbon removal.

Levels of certification

Our certification programmes recognise a range of climate action, each with its own specific set of requirements that put your business on track to becoming an active force for good

Why take your business to carbon zero?

Customers are increasingly demanding low carbon products with real sustainability credentials. Ensuring your brand is ahead on sustainability is a great way to attract customers and gain a competitive edge.

Competitive advantage

Many studies have now shown that the majority of the workforce prefers to work for companies that are taking climate change and sustainability seriously. Particularly for early career recruitment.

Increase staff retention

Most large companies are now reporting on their supply chain emissions. To continue to supply to large companies for example Amazon, you will need to report on your emissions data at a minimum, and in many cases be on track to net zero.

Improve procurement

Governments across the globe are increasing the strength of their climate policy. For example, every publicly listed (NZX) company now has to report on and reduce their emissions.

Get ahead of legisation

Many loans are now linked to sustainability credentials. Similarly, funds and organisations are now looking to only direct capital to organisations who are taking climate change seriously and have their emissions properly accounted for.

Meet lending requirements

The obvious one. Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time and we need every business to be cutting emissions and investing in nature.

It's the right thing to do
